I was reading a book the other day and I stumbled upon the idea of this guy that
every time he tweets out something that he said he quotes himself.
For instance if I wrote today on twitter:
“Randy Moss is retired. Greatest wide receiver ever who also owns a fruit
juice and smoothie company. -Mike Rudd”
That would be a quote that I came up with and a statement I made…which is
true about the newly retired Randy Moss.
So I started thinking…
Why do we always make sure we let everyone know about a famous quote
and who said when it is someone else’s but we never let people know of our
famous quotes that we say ourselves.
You would be surprised at the smart and intelligent ideas and thoughts that
you say out loud every day to someone.
We can start taking pride in our quotes…it is okay to do!
And you know what honestly you never know when one of your quotes will
become famous. It only has the chance to become famous though if you let
everyone know who said it in the first place.
No joke I said something to my wife yesterday and it was original material, until
I noticed it on the back of a random New York Times bestseller today.
I had never seen that book before or heard that quote.
Maybe if I let everyone know that it was my quote before it was that author’s
I would have the New York Times Bestseller.
Oh well back to the drawing board!
Take pride in not only what others say that has motivated you and made
you smarter but take pride in what you say each and every day and let all
know who said it in the first place!!
Have a great day everyone…thanks for reading!!
