Above and Beyond

The radio station I work at does a lot of events with our beer clients

and local breweries all year long for different promotions.

We do these events at local bars and restaurants…to make the event truly

great I have discovered though is that not only the local brewery pump

up the event and our station bring in a ton of listeners to the event

and does a top notch job interacting throughout the night but the bar

and the whole team needs to really give it their all for success!

We did a great event last night with our local MLS team the Columbus Crew

where they did a guest bartend at a local bar called 4th Street Patio located

on the Ohio State Campus.

4th Street Patio made additional “MY GUY” signs as you see above.

The Columbus Crew players (especially Jeff Cunningham and his bowtie!)

did a great job working the crowd, and Budweiser and 97.1 The Fan brought

a numerous amount of ideas and prizing to the table to all contribute

as a team to a successful event.

You can’t just show up and expect people to love your product, your radio

station, your bar, or your soccer team.

You have to engage them, entertain them, and thrill them.

All hands on deck last night did it and we raised over a $1,000.00 to the

Columbus Crew’s charity foundation in two hours on a Wednesday night

happy hour event.

So when you are working events, ideas for clients in any business sector,

or any type of service…remember go above and beyond and will them,

thrill them, and make them want to LOVE you!

Special thanks again to Torg from 97.1 The Fan, The Columbus Crew,

Budweiser/Columbus Distributing, and Ali and 4th Street Patio!
