Worming Around

With summer winding down the next few weeks and a beautiful fall season

on the way I thought it might be a good time to do a little bit of a list

blog and throw some good choices of books to pick up during the next

few months if your NFL team is getting killed at halftime on Sundays!

That being said I am not going to describe these books only send

out a link so you can see it on Amazon.

But I will group these books in the following category:

Making your brain think and work!

These aren’t all business books or motivational books or fictional stories

but I am and have been under the belief that hardly any reading is

mindless.

Even if you read a fictional book that makes your brain explore, imagine,

and excite you it makes you a better and smarter person at your job

or at your business.

Reading is good…give it a try more often and you’ll find yourself being

more creative in conversations, falling asleep easier at night, and being

motivated to tackle a few extra check list items at work each day!

So enjoy the list and pick one of these up as you head up to your last

laying at the pool weekend of the summer!  Happy Labor Day!

1) Moneyball by Michael Lewis…the movie is coming out so catch up now!

You are so money you don’t even know it!

2) Rhinocerous Success by Scott Alexander…get up and charge every day!

Be a rhino in life don’t be a cow all right!?!?

3) My Losing Season by Pat Conroy…even rhinos lose sometime!

Learn how to get better in life while experiencing a losing situation!

4) The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey.

Efficiency is the #1 trait I want as much of as I can get!

5) One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey…the CHIEF!

Jack Nicholson did a good movie but the book is GREAT!

6) Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris…one of my all time faves.

Because who wants to really work 80 hours a week?!

That’s all for now…throw some other great suggestions on the comments

page here for everyone to see or email them to me at
